Avaricia was created by Bobbi, as a companion to her webcomic. This was done as a means to gain more readership, as well as more interest in the comic and world. Furthermore, the idea of involving readers in an interactive aspect of the story seemed like a concept full of possibilities and potential. Bobbi has been an active member of various other avatar communities for some time, and she decided to combine her hobbies, skills and interests to create one of her own.
